Role Purpose
The Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse functions, including receiving goods, sorting items, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments. This role ensures efficient inventory flow and clean, safe warehouse operations. The Warehouse Helper works under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and contributes directly to the success of BFL’s retail performance.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inbound Operations
- Unload goods from suppliers and delivery vehicles.
- Verify quantities and conditions of incoming items.
- Label, categorize, and store items in designated areas.
- Assist with documentation and receiving reports.
Picking, Packing & Outbound Operations
- Pick items accurately for stores, online orders, and transfers.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage.
- Prepare, stage, and load outbound shipments.
- Ensure timely stock replenishment for retail stores.
Inventory Management
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse shelves.
- Report damaged, missing, or excess items.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO stock rotation standards.
Warehouse Housekeeping & Safety
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and clutter-free.
- Operate pallet jacks, trolleys, ladders, and scanners safely.
- Wear PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Report hazards and unsafe conditions immediately.
Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor
- Perform tasks based on daily priorities.
- Assist in optimizing storage and space usage.
- Support process improvements to enhance workflow.
Candidate Requirements
- High school certificate or equivalent (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in warehouse/logistics/retail.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
- Good teamwork, communication, and reliability.
- Strong attention to detail.
